Messy Church is here in Corsham!
St Bart’s has been running Messy Church once a month in Church House since January 2015. Messy Church is for families, involving fun and crafts. Its values are about being Christ-centred, for all ages, based on creativity, hospitality and celebration. It starts with themed crafts, followed by a short bible reading and song, finishing with a simple meal. Messy Church is for all ages, and children must be accompanied at all times by a responsible adult.
Messy Church is usually held on the first Friday of each month with doors open at 3:30 and running until about 6:pm. For further information please call Sue or Reg Lambert on 01249 248293. Join in with us and have fun – finishing Messy Church with a meal is an added bonus – no need to get those pans out when you get home!
December Messy Church
Please note that the Messy Church for December will be held on the second Friday (11 December), so as not to clash with the switching on of the Corsham Christmas Lights (which takes place on 4 December. The theme for Messy Church will be Messy Christmas, with the aim of enjoying the messiness of Christmas time. The three craft tables will, of course be Christmas themed, and we hope you will join us in Church House at 3:30pm, with the usual reminder that children must be accompanied at all times by a responsible adult
In September, the theme was ‘I am the light for the world’. We explored the theme of light at a dark time of the year, both actual light and the symbolism of light. We had three craft tables – lanterns, spiral decorations and stained-glass windows. All the crafts were extremely popular and great fun, and examples of the finished products are shown below: (Double Click to enlarge)
