Families and Children

We believe that church is for people of all ages.  We appreciate that the pressures of modern life mean that Sunday presents many different options and dilemmas, and we are constantly searching for ways to help you and your family engage with God and our church family.  Our different churches find themselves in different contexts, and the programme at each one evolves to suit that context.

Corsham has a Sunday School, a monthly ‘Early Birds‘ service (followed by breakfast),  and a Mother’s Union Group which promotes family values.

Other services for Children and families are available here.

Lacock has a Junior Church and a mid week Youth Club

Gastard, like all our churches is particularly looking for ways to engage with the families in that village.  They join with Neston for the Family Service on the 4th Sunday.

For older children, see our Youth pages

Messy Church in Church House, Corsham is for families, involving fun and crafts, and is found across the world.  Its values are about being Christ-centred, for all ages, based on creativity, hospitality and celebration.  It starts with themed crafts, followed by a short bible reading and song, finishing with a meal.  Messy Church is for all ages and not restricted to members of St Bart’s; children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Messy Church will take place on the Second Friday of the month (Jan 18 onwards) between 3:30 and 6:00pm each month.  See more here.

Every summer thousands of people gather at Soul Survivor to worship God, learn what it means to live for Jesus in every area of their lives, to pray for one another, and to have loads of fun! Each event lasts for five days and has two main meetings a day, plus seminars and many great venues so you can hang out with your mates over a hot chocolate mountain, work up a sweat in the sports venue, watch a movie, or enjoy some live music. We also have some brilliant pop-up community events so do not miss all the fun – come and join us!  “Soul Survivor is better than Christmas” – one of last year’s young people.

Our trip is planned for ‘Week C’, Friday 24th – Tuesday 28rd August in Peterborough and all the details about the event itself can be found at www.soulsurvivor.com.
