Corsham Men’s Group

The group normally meets on the fourth Monday of the month (except August and December),  starting at 8pm and ending by 9.30pm in upstairs room of The Royal Oak, High St, Corsham. The topics covered in the informal meetings are many and various and are open to all men, not just church members. There is a nominal admission charge of £1 to help cover costs.

23rd May 2022 – 8.00 pm at The Royal Oak. (Rescheduled) Glyn Cornish will give a talk on ‘Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway – Steam in the Cotswolds’.

27th June 2022 – 8.00 pm at The Royal Oak. John Stott will talk about the ‘Kennet and Avon Canal’.

25th July 2022 –  This is our yearly ‘Outdoor Event’ meeting where everyone is welcome (not just men). This year we will have the trip on the ‘Barbara McLellan on the K&A canal from Bradford on Avon to Avoncliffe, which we have been waiting for the past 2 years!  All monies previously paid will be carried forward to this year’s trip.  Please speak to Ted if you have any questions.

August 2022    No Meeting

26th September 2022 – 8.00 pm at The Royal Oak. We will have a Mystery Guest Speaker who will give us a talk called ‘Something of Interest to All’

24th October 2022 – 8.00 pm at The Royal Oak. Adam Walton will give a talk entitled: “Transcoco: working towards a more sustainable Corsham”.

28th November 2022 – 8.00 pm at The Royal Oak. Victor Howlett will give an insight into ‘The House by The Thames – A horrible History of the South Bank’

December 2022    Christmas No Meeting
