DATA PRIVACY NOTICE –  The Greater Corsham and Lacock Team Ministry

In accordance with the latest Data Protection legislation the below Data Privacy Notice applicable to this website sets out how we process Personal Data, the legal basis for that processing, how that data is shared and how long that data is retained.  If also explains your rights concerning personal data and, whilst we take every care to ensure we handle that data responsibly, it describes how to seek action if something is not right.

CCTV
A CCTV system has been installed in St Bartholomew’s Church to provide a safe and secure environment for the benefit of all those who might visit the church.  The system will not be used to invade the privacy of any individual visitor, except when requested by a law enforcement authority in pursuance of a suspected criminal offence.  The scheme will be used for the following purposes:-

  • To reduce the fear of crime by those using St Bartholomew’s church;
  • To prevent, deter and detect crime and disorder;
  • To assist the police, PCC and other law enforcement authorities with identification, detection, apprehension and prosecution of offenders by examining and using retrievable video and photographic evidence relating to crime and anti-social behaviour;
  • To deter potential offenders by publicly displaying the existence of CCTV, having cameras clearly sited and signs on display in areas being monitored.
