From the Rector
Please find below a link from the Diocese of Bristol encouraging participation in their conversation about the future direction of the Church of England in our region as we hopefully start to emerge from the pandemic. Alongside the online questionnaire which can be completed by individuals and which I would strongly encourage you to engage with (it takes about ten minutes to complete, or longer if you wish) I am also asking for expressions of interest in attending an online facilitated discussion of the questions raised at either 2.00pm or 7.00pm on Wednesday 14 April via Zoom. I have been trained to facilitate such discussions and will aim to keep to an hour rather than the hour and a half recommended so as to avoid Zoom fatigue! If there is sufficient interest I shall investigate organising break out groups but otherwise chair a discussion with all those on the call at once. I shall then produce a digest of our responses as a team of churches to submit to the Diocese by their deadline of 16 April. If you would like to engage with this online discussion (and do please also complete the online questionnaire) please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I shall let you know in due course whether there are enough people signed up for either of the times suggested to make it viable. If you could come back to me by the end of the month (Wednesday 31 March) I would be grateful as I can then have time to confirm whether we are going ahead or not and to supply joining instructions before my post-Easter break.
With love in Christ – Andrew
